Actually we just want your opinion. We are going to have a discussion on MMOs: Pay to Play Versus Micro Transaction, in our upcoming podcast. It would be really nice to hear what your thoughts are on the matter. This is your chance to express how you feel about to the community (and possibly developers). We want you to make a brief MP3 recording and send it to us at moseisleyradio@gmail.com within the next week. Please try to make your recording as clear as possible so other listeners can clear understand what you are saying. We hope to get some good input from you guys.
Space. The deep black. The awful emptiness. The final frontier. The fringe. There are all kinds of names and monikers for what is beyond the atmosphere of Earth. For as long as humans have looked up towards the sky, people have created stories about space. From aboriginal tales of gods and demons coming from space, [...]

Hey! This week was fan Friday and we got sneak peek into combat in Star Wars: The Old republic. Combat in the game is very nice and distinct. You can see they have been putting a good amount of work into the animations and are not lacking in any visual aspect of our combat experience. We are going to feel like we are our class and that we are truly fighting the odds.
On top of all that this fan Friday was especially rewarding with some art from the community which is my favorite so far. Especially the picture of the Sith Lord with a giska, i can already see it while I’m running around coruscant doing some work on the Auction House. Also we got a wonderful look at the visual effects in the world, which surpass anything i have seen in previous MMOs. Also we got a look at transportation in the game !
Need to get to another part of the city to uncover some information? Catch a ride in a taxi, similar to the one in this concept art, to speed to your destination.
Todays Friday update is HUGE!!!! For the very first time, Bioware expand on how combat in Star Wars: The Old Republic will play out and what a video!! Earlier in the year, the news was disappointing that the game wont be due for release until 2011, however, we are certain that this new developer diary will re-ignite the flames of interest for the game. Combat looks simply stunning!!!!

The Galactic Holofeed Transmission 29In this latest transmission we discuss this weeks updates from Bioware & the Star Wars Community. Highlights include:* Threat of Peace Release Date* Paul S. Kemp Old Republic Novel* New Animated Star Wars Show* New Planet Reveal Voss* Gormak & Voss Species* Comments & OpinionsWe hope you’ve enjoyed the show! Make sure to check out our forums and give us your opinion on this weeks update.
HEY! This week we learned of the planet Voss, a planet inhabited by two warring races, the tech savvy-Gormaks and the powerful force-sensitive Voss. I predict the Voss will be the main race which we interact with here since both the Sith and the Republic are vying for the Voss’ loyalty. Jedi and Sith will find this planet especially interesting since there are traces of ancient Sith and Republic ruins on the planet.
the Gormak strip mine Voss’ resources, building tech monoliths and leaving desolation behind
Also SW:TOR has the same amount of planets as SWG. I ask the question whether or not It will surpass SWg in actual map size, and also could this game have largest mmo map? There’s a good chance the answer is no but one can always dream can they not .
The Nightmare Lands of Voss are covered in dense forests inhabited by tainted wildlife, corrupted Gormak, and Voss Mystics that have gone mad.
And Lastly, I finish off with a quick talk on integrating PvP into the story, hope the example of what I was talking about was clear, when I was listening after i had finished everything up i realized it may need a little more clarification. I was not talking about help a player if hes being attacked, or waiting for a player to be done fighting so you can finish a quest. But, i was talking about an NPC being attacked by players, instead of waiting for him to either win or die and respond you help him and it somehow influences his interactions with you. Sort of like in the KOTOR series when all too often you come across some poor man being beat up by bounty hunters. If they integrate PvP into the story in some new way like that I may be inclined to finally do PvP!

Hey! First episode of “The Anchorhead Weekly Podcast” is up and running. This episode briefly goes over the latest developers blog and a quick talk about a prediction for what factions are going to look like. This episode was more of a test episode to make sure that i have everything working and all the websites up (Encountered a little trouble all ready with getting the podcast online). But now its all set up and I’m ready to start making a podcast a week! So sit back, and enjoy the first episode of “The Anchorhead Weekly Podcast”. And be sure to come back in a couple days for the far better second episode, which will be entirely about the SW:TOR rather then making sure everything is working properly . Also for my next episode I’ll make sure to put some foam on my mic to take away the “ph” sound when I’m talking.
Crafting is another area where we’ve talked a lot about community. The systems design team is not satisfied with some other crafting systems that we’ve seen, where many players craft almost exclusively for themselves. We’ve spent quite a bit of time discussing how to ensure that crafters – true dedicated crafters – can make a name for themselves and be important in their community.
This is an excerpt from the latest developers blog where Damion Schubert briefly touched on Crafting in the game. One of the first times crafting has been mentioned!
Also, I quickly go over my general predictions for what we’re going to see with factions. Nothing to specific and probably nothing you your self have not already thought. But it makes a great time filler!
If you would like to help out in anyway such as: creating music for the show, creating a short segment to be added in, or even coming on the show and talking a few times feel free to send me a private message on the SW:TOR forums. Palopit.
